DATA AND PRIVACY

Privacy policy

What Almagest uses, stores locally and receives from third-party services.

Observed state in the current site version deployed on Cloudflare Workers.

01

Service provided

Almagest currently offers no user account, active authentication, publishing form or file upload. A technical helper left from an earlier authentication experiment is not connected to any active interface or route.

02

Public Steam Workshop data

The catalogue uses data made public on Steam Workshop: author display names and Steam IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, galleries, statistics, dates, sizes, tags, dependencies, categories and Steam links needed to identify creations.

Detectable personal contact details in descriptions, including email addresses and certain clearly personal phone numbers, are automatically filtered before the public catalogue is written. This cautious filtering cannot guarantee detection of every possible form.

03

Images loaded from Steam

Workshop thumbnails, gallery images and avatars may load directly from images.steamusercontent.com and avatars.steamstatic.com. Displaying them sends a browser request to Steam/Valve infrastructure, which may receive usual technical data such as IP address, user agent, date and request origin according to browser rules.

04

Cookies and browser storage

The current Almagest code sets no cookie and includes no analytics tool, advertising pixel or marketing tracker.

Two functional values are kept in localStorage on your device: the selected language (almagest-locale) and build-plan contents (almagest-build-plan). They are not sent to Almagest. sessionStorage temporarily keeps block and component catalogue filters and scroll positions (se2:catalog:blocks:v1 and se2:catalog:items:v1) until the tab is closed.

05

Cloudflare technical processing

The website uses Cloudflare Workers to serve the application and static files. Cloudflare may process technical data needed to route and secure requests, such as IP addresses, headers, timestamps and technical logs. The Worker configuration enables Cloudflare observability; the data actually available and its retention period depend on the applicable Cloudflare configuration and plan.

No D1 database, R2 or KV storage, or Cloudflare application variable is currently configured to collect user data.

06

Correction, deletion and removal

To report inaccurate data, request its correction or erasure, or request content removal, use the dedicated process or write to contact@se2-wiki.com. The same dedicated address receives general, privacy and removal requests.
